Which universities participate in the MSeCampus?
Alcorn State University, Delta State University, Jackson State University, Mississippi State University, Mississippi University for Women, Mississippi Valley State University, University of Mississippi, University of Mississippi Medical Center, and University of Southern Mississippi offer courses and programs on the MSeCampus. top

Can I earn a college degree from the MSeCampus?
Degrees and course credits are awarded by the participating university of your choice. Participating universities offer degree and certificate programs through the MSeCampus. Many of the campuses that participate in the MSeCampus offer courses that lead to degrees. The university that offers the degree that you desire will be listed as your “home university.” top

Are MSeCampus courses more difficult than on-campus courses?
Courses and programs offered via the MSeCampus should have the same rigor as courses and programs offered on university campuses. As with other students, the most successful nontraditional students involved in the MSeCampus will be self-motivated and disciplined—you are responsible for managing your time and assignments efficiently. The campus staff will work with you to be sure you have everything that you need to succeed. You are responsible for the pace you complete the work and for your performance in the courses. Your success will depend on your commitment to the course or program. top

What are the course delivery methods offered on the MseCampus?
When you visit MSeCampus, you will find courses offered online (Internet-based courses), courses offered through the Mississippi Interactive Video Network (MIVN/compressed video) in site specific classrooms, and correspondence courses (courses that are offered via surface mail). top

The institution that offers the course determines the tuition cost. The cost for each course is listed on the course description page. If you are not a Mississippi resident, you may be charged out-of-state tuition. top

Are the courses transferable?
Credits earned in courses and programs offered through the MseCampus are transferable. The acceptance of credits and the use of credits for program requirements are governed by the university to which the credits are being transferred. You should consult the university for specific policies about credit transfer. All courses and programs have been reviewed by the participating university against IHL Board policy regarding distance education. top

Can I take any course I want?
As when taking a face-to-face course, when taking distance learning courses, if you meet recognized general requirements (i.e., have a high school diploma or GED to take an undergraduate level course and a bachelor’s degree to take a graduate level course) and meet any prerequisite requirements, you may take any course you want. If you are planning to complete a degree program, you need to be sure your home institution will accept the credit and that the course will meet whatever requirement you are seeking to fulfill. top
